US Youth Soccer Member Passes

Member Pass Definition

The USYS Player and Adult Passes for Competitive League Play Policy is to ensure that all leagues use US Youth Soccer player and adult passes for competitive games and tournaments during the regular seasonal year. During the soccer seasonal year all players properly registered to a competitive soccer team will be issued an USYS player pass. This player pass along with the roster will be presented to the referee prior to the beginning of a game.

Member Pass Guidelines

  • The United States Youth Soccer Association national registration is good for one (1) seasonal year.
  • Each member pass must contain a current Alaska Youth Soccer Logo, USYS Logo, as well as an Alaska State Registrar signature.
  • A current individual photograph is required on the member pass.
  • ID numbers on member passes are assigned by the approved State Registration program and cannot be altered in any form.
Players
  1. A player is to be registered and issued only one-member pass per seasonal year. If a player transfers to another team the player is to be issued a new pass with the new team and club. Only when the player transfer has been approved by the AYSA State Office and the wait period has been completed can the member pass be issued.
  2. All players participating in Alaska or out- of state tournaments sanctioned by United States Youth Soccer Association must use the official player pass as their credential.
  3. New Alaska players must show proof of age to the affiliate club administrator. Proof of age shall consist of a birth certificate, a Uniformed Services Identification and Privilege Card (DD Form 1173) issued by the uniformed services of the United States, or birth registration issued by an appropriate government agency, board of health records, passport, alien registration card issued by the United States government, a certificate issued by the immigration and Naturalization Service attesting to age, a current driver's license, unexpired Federal, State or local government identification card (if documentation of date of birth is required), or a certification of an American Citizen born abroad issued by the appropriate government agency. Hospital, baptismal or religious certificates will not be accepted.

Adults

  1. All adult volunteers including coaches are to be registered in the approved State Registration program and to have passed their annual Adult Background Check, reviewed the AYSA Code of Conduct, and completed the Abuse Prevention Training.
  2. Required Adult Verification must be completed prior to the release of the member pass and interaction with athletes and sports activities.
  3. The Adult Background check will be done annually, and the Prevention Training will renewal every two years.
  4. Required Individuals Include; Affiliate Member adult coaching staff, directors, administrators, employees, BOD Members, volunteer coaches, team managers, trainers, chaperones, club volunteers, and certified referees. The policy will be used for all AYSA employees, contract staff, contract coaches, and BOD Members; refer to the Adult Verification: POLICY AYS082217-A
