Alaska Youth Soccer has been continuing to work directly with US Soccer, and US Youth Soccer with outlining our Return to Play (RTP) Protocols. More information regarding what the RTP operational guidelines details will be released within the next week. Thank you for your patience!
Alaska Youth Soccer Updates
Membership Survey- Please take a few minutes to complete our Coronavirus (COVID-19) Impact on Youth Soccer in Alaska survey. We appreciate your time!
Referee Certification- Getting Ahead of the Game; the Online Grassroots Referee Module is 4.5-hour e-learning experience that prepares candidates for their assigned tasks and responsibilities as a Grassroots Referee. This module is a part of AK's 2019/20 certification process. If you are interested in becoming a referee for this summer, get started on the online course. The required in person field session will be held once we can return to play. Must be 13 years or older to create a profile.
NEW Juggling Challenge- AYSA would like to spotlight players from across Alaska. You can film a short video of yourself juggling a soccer ball and text it in to (907) 887-6550 the deadline will be Friday May 20, 2020.
Senior Recognition- Alaska Youth Soccer congratulates all high school seniors and would like to share in their celebration. Coaching this Summer- Planning on coaching a team or being a manager? Please make sure you have updated your background check and completed the Safe Sport Training.
SafeSport- Reminder the Annual Background Check and Safe Sports certification can be accessed within Stack Sports and the new GotSoccer platforms. The Safe Sports Certification replaces the Abuse Prevention Training; please ensure all individuals complete the Safe Sports training or upload their current Safe Sports Certificate. Reminder ALL individuals over the age of 18 who may have the opportunity to have direct interaction or unmonitored access with amateur athletes as a representative of Alaska Youth Soccer Association (AYSA) and all covered Alaska Youth Soccer Association (AYSA) Member Organizations such as clubs, leagues and associations are required to have an annual cleared Background Check, review the (AYSA) Code of Conduct, current Safe Sport certification.
Athletes and Parents SafeSport Resources are Available Online- Please share with your club athletes, coaches and parents. This is an informational resource that aligns with our commit to ensure our youth athletes are safe and the Alaska Youth Soccer Code of Conduct is followed.
